Meeting for Worship

What to expect at Meeting for Worship on First Day.

We practice what we call waiting worship - in which we expectantly wait together in silence to become aware of the Spirit's movement within our hearts, teaching and guiding us. Sometimes people are moved to share that inspiration with the whole group as a spoken message.

In person at the Meetinghouse, a Friend at the door will greet you and invite you to take a seat in the Meetinghouse.  Online you will be admitted to the virtual worship space, which includes Friends in the Meetinghouse.   After an hour, the greeter invites Friends to share joys and sorrows, introduce themselves, and hear general announcements.  We gather after worship for coffee and fellowship.
