First Day School is a religious education program for children in pre-school through grade twelve. Children are grouped according to age or grade and meet in small classes. The curriculum covers the Bible, Quakerism, and peace and social justice. There is a special "young Friends" group for high school students. A nursery is available for infants and toddlers.

First Day School classes are held from early September until mid-June. The program begins at 10am as children attend Meeting for Worship with their parents. At 10:15am the children quietly leave and proceed to their classrooms. Classes are over when Meeting for Worship ends.
